Romantic Vineyard Wedding - Chloe and Dennis

There is something utterly romantic about a wedding set in a beautiful vineyard amidst falling leaves and washed in soft autumnal light. Chloe & Dennis chose to say ‘I do’ against this gorgeous backdrop in New South Wales, Australia, and their wedding day was filled with so many beautiful personal touches. Of course in Australia, the autumn falls in May so it was wonderful to see the rich hues of gold in so many of these gorgeous photos taken by Erin Latimore Photography.

Chloe chose to wear a classic strapless dress with an ivory guipure lace overlay, paired of course with a pair of show stopping ‘Goodnight Sweetheart‘ lace over the knee wedding boots. She looked absolutely stunning and we are so excited to share her and Dennis’ wedding story with you!

So how did you meet your husband and how did he propose?

We met through friends and were friends before we got together. Our proposal was a surprise! We took a trip to Sydney which was planned but Dennis stopped off at some sea planes and said we should have a look ( I had no idea he had one booked). We set off for a little ride then got to pick a private beach where they dropped us for the day with a picnic. We took a walk up the beach where Dennis then stopped me and started to tell me how much he loved me and dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him ( I forgot to say yes at first I was so excited) but obviously said yes! We spent the day on the beach then flew back and stayed in a beautiful hotel in the city for the night.

Where did you get married and who did you invite?

We got married at a vine yard designed for weddings called The Vinegrove. It is located in my little country home town called Mudgee in New South Wales, Australia. We had close friends and family which totalled about 75 guests which was a such a great number.

What was the main inspiration for your wedding?

As we were out in the beautiful country side I wanted a vintage rustic theme. My bridesmaids wore platinum silver gowns and the boys classic grey suits. We chose native flowers and gums with gold centre pieces to compliment the Autumnal setting.

Tell us about your wedding look

I wanted to keep things simple but classy which I think my organiser did extremely well. She was amazing! I wore a strapless floor length dress which had a beige underlay and a guipure lace overlay on top and of course my AMAZING boots underneath.

What made you choose a pair of House of Elliot boots for your wedding day?

I LOVE boots. I have loads of them at home and when I go out I’m normally in boots. Someone had mentioned I should wear some on my wedding day but all the ones I had seen just didn’t do it for me. I spent a fair time online looking and when I came across the House of Elliot boots I fell in love! I looked at them for days before my partner said ‘you’ve been starring at those boots for days just buy them’. So I did with in half an hour. When they arrived I was so excited and loved them even more. So did everyone who saw them!

What did you love the most about your wedding day?

I loved the ceremony itself of course and being able to commit to my partner completely. But I loved having all my family and friends together and being able to have my big day with all of them there. It really meant so much!

What pearls of wisdom would you share with future brides who are planning their wedding?

Words of wisdom – DONT STRESS LADIES! Try and make planning your wedding fun. It can get a bit much at times but focus on one task at a time and make plenty of lists to keep you focused.
